Some people might still remember that the ongoing recession was triggered by subprime mortgages across the pond. It’s origin were on the typical “the road to hell is paved with good intentions” Community Reinvestment Act
Now secretary of state Vapaavuori is in effect proposing that the Finnish government should pay the mortgage in case the homeowner cannot. I wonder why the yankees could not come up with this brilliant idea, everyone would be better off??
